Buchenwald, which was part of a network

The fear and anger that it provoked was understandable, but in some cases, it led us to act contrary to our ideals. Tomorrow, I will visit Buchenwald, which was part of a network of camps where Jews were enslaved, tortured, shot and gassed to death by the Third Reich.

We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America. My faith teaches me that I can sit in church and pray all I want, but I won’t be fulfilling God’s will unless I go out and do the Lord’s work.
